  • Boys Basketball Practice after school today from 3:00-4:00pm.
  • The Breakfast Program is looking for Volunteers!  If you are interested please see Mrs. Rasmussen in the YHC.  We need students and adults.
  • A song suggestion sheet for grads is posted on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Baker's room.  Please add your suggestions by Friday.
  • February is Sexual & Reproductive Health Month. Students interested in helping out with health promotion activities please go to the YHC.
  • Students interested in stopping smoking can pick up Quit Kits to help you reach your goal.  The Quit Kits are available from the YHC, Guidance and the Social Worker.

  • Students are reminded to check the lost and found for items that may belong to you.

  • DMHS will be performing The Wizard of Oz, the musical this spring.  
  • Sheet Harbour Library Leading Readers Teens Volunteers - Start Date: Thursday, February 1-April 26, 2018 from 3-4pm.  Please call the library for more information.
  • The Steam Horizon Award is now available to students aged 16-18 pursuing post-secondary studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Math at a Canadian university.  Five prizes of $25, 000 (2 of which will be  awarded to Indigenous students).  Deadline to apply is January 16th.
  • Are you ages 13-18 and interested in making The Shore a more exciting and supportive place for youth?   If so join The Deanery Project on Saturday January 20th from 9:30 am -5 pm for their free Youth Forum.  See Ms Mullen for more details if interested.

  • The Native Council of Nova Scotia's Youth Outreach Program is hosting a Youth Night on Thursday, January 25th from 6-8pm at their Dartmouth location for youth ages 16-19.
