Thursday October 27th Announcements

  • Cafeteria Special: Soft Beef Tacos
  • Dance Tickets are on sale Mon-Thursday at lunch in the cafeteria.  Tickets wil not be sold at the door.  The price is $7 or $6 with a food donation.  The dance will be held this Thursday from 6:33-8:30pm.  The theme is Halloween.  No masks or weapons please!
  • Mi'kmaq History Month Fact of the Day: 3 Traditional Mi'kmaq ceremonies are:  Smudging, Sweat Lodge and Talking Circle.
  • Gr. 12 students are asked to bring in a gift card or gift certificate valued at $15 to $20 for the Grad Bingo.  Please pass into Haley DeWolfe TODAY.
  • Students interested in Volunteering for the Breakfast Program, please see Darlene in the YHC to sign up.
  • Scotiabank is hosting a BBQ on TODAY from 10am-1pm in front of the bank.  All money raised will be matched by Scotiabank for the grad Class.
  • NSSSA will be selling Jellybean draw tickets today at lunch.  .50cents each or 3 for $1.00.  Try to guess how many jellybeans are in the jar!
  • Attention Grads - Check Ms. Walsh's website regularly for Scholarships and Bursaries.  Also check the calendar on her website for Open Houses and other events.
  • Aboriginal Youth interested in attending a Skilled Trades Fair on November 6-8, please see Ms. Mullen, the main office or visit for details and an application form.
  • The Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Center is hosting Brad Firth on October 28th from 6-8pm.  Join Brad as he shares his story of addiction and transformation into Caribou Legs - Ultra Marathon Runner.
  • Aboriginal students going to the Dalhousie Tour on December 1st, please pass in your permission forms to Ms. Mullen ASAP.
  • Gr. 12 Aboriginal students please continue to check in with Ms. Mullen for updates on Scholarships and Bursaries. Updates are also available on the MASSW website and the Guidance Website.
